“Education is the most powerful weapon”

The article talks about the fact that it is the lack of a good education system what contributes the most for the Arab countries to remain undeveloped. The major issues involving the system comes from the lack of investments, bad quality and extreme traditionalism in education, and a new culture of working instead of going to school. Nowadays, there is too much money being spent on wars and other ‘futile’ reasons and too few being spent on new schools or universities. As a result, students are incented to work and just give up on school. The consequences of this lack of education are increased numbers of illiteracy, unemployment and income inequality. The economies of the countries are becoming more and more problematic and their futures are heading to more poverty and conflicts.
This Article is good to show us one of the major causes of poverty not only in the Arabs, but also in most of the undeveloped countries. An example of this can be the Asian tigers; they were in the same situation some years ago, however, with an effective program to improve education they have become much more wealthy and self sustainable
